Several crossings and roads in Fiji's west are currently inaccessible due to flash flooding.
Fiji's national disaster office said the general public need to be vigilant and continue to adhere to advisories issued by the relevant authorities.
A heavy rain alert is now in force for parts of Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Yasawa and Mamanuca Islands, Kadavu, Lau, Lomaiviti Group and the Northern Division.
The Weather Office said an active trough of low pressure lies slow moving to the west of Fiji.
Flash flood warning now in place for low lying and flood prone areas in Vitogo River, Nasivi River, and Rakiraki and Penang Rivers.
Areas that are likely to be affected are Vakabuli-Paipai Crossing, low lying crossings within Nasivi, Rakiraki and Penang River.
