Health authorities in American Samoa again say that getting rid of breeding places of mosquitoes is the most effective way to stave off dengue fever which can turn deadly.

13 people were diagnosed at the LBJ Hospital, eight of whom required a hospital stay.
A village inspection and clean up, which includes school campuses began Saturday in Afono and Vatia, where most of the recent dengue cases were from.
The Department of Health Epidemiologist Scott Anesi said dengue carrying mosquitoes were still impacting the territory despite clean up efforts for Zika, chikungunya and dengue.
"The only way to really combat this is to look at it in a global strategy. To look at how can we all do our parts in our own villages," Scott Anesi said.
