A cyclist is dead after reportedly being hit by a car in Hastings.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Omahu Road and State Highway 50A in Frimley at about 10.15am.
Police said the cyclist died at the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit are investigating and the road is likely to be closed for some time.
Traffic management is in place.
