Juventus levelled the aggregate score to send the game to extra time but the drama was far from over as Porto's Sergio Oliveira drilled home a free-kick in the 115th minute to spark wild celebrations amongst the players and coaching staff.

Adrien Rabiot's scored three minutes before time for Juventus to ensure a grandstand finish, but Porto managed to hold on for a famous victory.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland scored twice as the German side advanced to the Champions League quarter-finals after a 2-2 draw with Sevilla in their last-16 second leg to complete a 5-4 aggregate win.

The 20-year-old Haaland has become Norway's all-time top scorer in the competition, with one more goal than current Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as Dortmund reached the last eight for the first time since 2017.

U.S. Open champion Dominic Thiem has set himself the career goal of winning the French Open and the Austrian says he would love to dethrone the 'King of Clay' Rafa Nadal in the process.

Nadal's dominance on the red claycourts in Paris is unmatched, the Spaniard picking up his 13th French Open trophy last year to match Roger Federer's 20 Grand Slam singles titles.

Two of those 13 victories on centre court have come against Austrian Thiem, who won his maiden Grand Slam title at Flushing Meadows last year.

"For me it's by far the tournament with the best results in the past ... so after I won that first Grand Slam title, it's now the biggest goal and something I really want to achieve," Thiem said.

Germany coach Loew to leave a year early after Euros tournament

Germany football coach Joachim Loew will step down from the role he has had since 2006 after the end of this year's European Championship, ending his run as the current longest serving national team coach.

Loew, who has a contract until 2022, led Germany to the World Cup title in 2014 and the 2017 Confederations Cup but his team crashed out of the first round in the 2018 World Cup and has been struggling to perform at top level in recent years.

"I take this step consciously, full of pride and also very thankful and with uninterrupted motivation for the Euro," Loew said in a statement.

The 61-year-old first joined the team in 2004 as assistant to Juergen Klinsmann before taking over in 2006. He led them to the Euro 2008 final before winning the World Cup six years later, having coached them so far in 189 games, with 120 wins and 31 defeats.

A prolific striker in Germany's second division, Loew's first major coaching job was at VfB Stuttgart in 1996. After further stops at clubs in Turkey and Austria he joined Germany in 2004 as assistant coach.

Loew's decision came as a surprise but many were quick to praise Loew's impact on German football.

"It is sad news," RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann said. "He has had a huge impact on German football. Hopefully he will have a glorious departure."

Germany face France, Hungary and Portugal in their Euro group matches in June.

Gymnastics All-Around World Cup in Tokyo cancelled due to COVID-19 impact

The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) said it has cancelled the Artistic All-Around World Cup in Tokyo, which was also to be a test event for the Olympics this summer, due to difficulties related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event, which had been scheduled for May 4, was meant to conclude this year's all-around series.

However, the cancellation of two earlier events led to the scrapping of the series as qualifiers, the governing body said in a statement.

"For this reason, the decision has been taken to cancel the World Cup in Japan, especially given the current travel restrictions and difficulties worldwide as well as the measures taken by the Japanese authorities to limit the rate of coronavirus infections in the country ahead of the Olympic Games," the federation said.

In a separate statement, Tokyo 2020 organisers said they would hold an operational test event on May 4 with a national gymnastics event, adding that there was no change to the May 8 rhythmic gymnastics test event.
