Housing New Zealand and the Housing Minister Phil Twyford say no compensation will be given to tenants who were evicted based on discredited methamphetamine testing. On Tuesday, a report by the Prime Minister's chief science adviser Sir Peter Gluckman found there had never been a documented case of someone getting sick from third-hand exposure to meth. His conclusion came too late for the hundreds of people evicted from supposedly contaminated homes or forced to pay enormous clean-up bills. So do tenants have any avenues for redress? Lawyer Andrew Hooker speaks to Alex Perrottet.
