A 35-year-old woman was due to appear in the Napier District Court on Monday charged with assault after the death of a man in the city.
Police say the 45-year-old was stabbed, in what is believed to have been a domestic incident, in a Maraenui house on Sunday afternoon.
He died in Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital early on Monday morning.
