The London Metropolitan police say their inquiries into allegations against the former New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns are continuing, despite reports he won't face match-fixing charges.
A British newspaper has reported that Cairns will not face any match-fixing charges by the England and Wales Cricket Board - the ECB.
Last month Cairns met with the Metropolitan police, the ECB and the International Cricket Council's anti-corruption unit as he continued to deny any involvement in match-fixing.
Cairns was effectively accused by his former New Zealand team-mate Lou Vincent of inciting him to fix matches while both were playing county cricket.
The Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum has also given evidence to the ICC investigation.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper has reported that Cairns will not face any charges by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
On Thursday the ECB handed a life ban to Naved Arif, the former Sussex all-rounder.
