Comedian and actor Rhys Darby is returning to stand-up with a new show in 2025.

Darby, 50, is well-known for having played hapless manager Murray Hewitt on Flight of the Conchords. More recently, he starred in the Jumanji franchise and the Our Flag Means Death series alongside Taika Waititi.

His The Legend Returns show heads to Auckland (Bruce Mason Theatre) on 3 and 4 April, Wellington (Opera House) 27 March, and Christchurch (Isaac Theatre Royal) on 29 March.

"I'm so excited to return to the stage, a bit older, a bit wiser but mostly a bit sillier than ever before," Darby said.

His previous stand-ups include I'm a Fighter Jet (2017) and Mystic Time Bird (2021).

In 2023, the 50-year-old actor hosted the International Emmy Awards (different to the Emmy Awards), which aims to recognise TV shows produced outside of the United States.

General on-sale starts 10am on 19 November, with pre-sales from 10am on 18 November. Tickets and tour information here.
