Black Caps win game two in Bangladesh

The Black Caps have beaten Bangladesh by 86 runs in game two of the ODI series in Dhaka.

After deciding to bat first New Zealand was dismissed for 254 in the last over.

The tourists struggled to 36 for three before Henry Nicholls and Tom Blundell came together to put on 95 runs for the fourth wicket.

Nicholls made 49 and Blundell 68.

Cole McConchie with 20, Ish Sodhi 35 and Kyle Jamieson 20 help set a respectable target.

In reply Bangladesh struggled to put partnerships together with Ish Sodhi claiming six wickets for 39 runs.

Mohammad Mahmudullah top scored with 49, while Tamin Iqbal made 44.

Kyle Jamieson took two wickets for 32 runs from seven overs.

Captain Lockie Ferguson was happy with their performance.

"Excellent win by the boys.

The way Henry and Blundell batted today took off the pressure.

"The way Ish bowled today was exceptional, nice to see after all the hard work he has done.

"Nice team performance."

The first match was rained out.

The third and final game is Tuesday night.
