Australia's Scott Morrison will be in Vanuatu this week, marking only the second time an Australian Prime Minister has visited the country.
Mr Morrison is scheduled to spend Wednesday and Thursday in Port Vila before leaving for Fiji.
The Daily Post newspaper reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying the trip comes after an invitation from his Vanuatu counterpart, Charlot Salwai, at the APEC summit in Port Moresby last year.
While in Port Vila Mr Morrison is also expected to make a courtesy call on the Head of State, President Obed Moses Tallis, before opening a refurbished Vanuatu Police College.
