Man shot and wounded by police faces charges over Grey Lynn incident

A man shot and wounded by police in the Auckland suburb of Grey Lynn is facing burglary and firearm charges.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm and presenting a firearm.

He was shot by police last Monday after police say he opened fire on his own, unoccupied, house.

The man is due to appear in Auckland City District Court today.
