Two people have died following a crash in Waikato.
In a statement, police said emergency services were called to State Highway 26 at Te Aroha just before 4pm on Saturday.
Two people were killed in the crash while another two have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The road at Mangaiti is closed and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
Traffic is being diverted via Rawhiti Road.
