Rival developers in Christchurch's CBD have settled out of court over a dispute about retail developments in different parts of the city.
Philip Carter and Antony Gough, two of the main players behind the so-called retail precinct, were taking the Christchurch City Council to court over its granting of a resource consent to Richard Peebles.
Mr Peebles is developing another retail area on the edge of the CBD and his competitors were worried he would rob them of potential tenants.
The parties have now settled after Mr Peebles agreed to limit the size of his retail space to 150 square metres per tenant.
