The Bougainville Regional MP, Joe Lera, said enhancing co-operation between the Papua New Guinea's national government and the Autonomous Bougainville Government is vital in preparing for next year's referendum.
In a statement he said as the region prepared for the referendum in June next year everyone must create and enhance a sense of what it is and means to be Bougainvillean.
Mr Lera said in this context the ABG Strategic Development Plan had the opportunity to help National and ABG MPs alike to work together for a common goal.
He said the plan included a holistic and comprehensive list of actions that provide a common reference point.
Mr Lera said the Plan laid out how to go about the development of critical infrastructure, advances in economic development, building social institutions or laying the foundations for a strong and effective government.
