The police dive squad has recovered the body of a missing 6-year-old boy in Marlborough this afternoon.

The boy was reported missing in Havelock at 6.25am this morning.
The dive squad were called in this afternoon and found the boy's body after a brief search.
Next of kin have been informed and the matter has been referred to the coroner.
