Three Indonesian soldiers at the Cenderawasih Military Command in Papua province are on trial charged with providing ammunition to local armed civilian groups.

The Jakarta Post reports the three soldiers are being tried in front of a military tribunal in Jayapura.

The alleged involvement of TNI troops in the supply of ammunition to rebel groups was reportedly uncovered by police in the Highlands town of Wamena last October.
