Ngā Aho Award winners announced

The designers behind New Zealand's latest tourism campaign were among the three winners in the Māori section of the New Zealand design awards.

The Ngā Aho Award is a partnership between the Designers Institute of New Zealand and Ngā Aho Inc, the national society of Māori designers.

The PURE Pakati typeface and brand system is a collaboration between some of New Zealand's leading Pākehā and Māori carvers, and between Tourism New Zealand and the Māori Tourism Society.

Lisa Reihana has also won a Ngā Aho award for her In Pursuit of Venus design.

Her publication accompanied her video for her exhibition at the Auckland Art Gallery.

And Te Rōpū Raranga o Tāmaki Makaurau were another Ngā Aho award winner for their collaborative design for the tukutuku panels at the Te Oro Music and Arts Centre in Glen Innes.
