One person has died after a crash in Wairoa, Hawke's Bay this morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the single vehicle crash on Nuhaka Opoutama Road just before 9am Friday.
Police said the sole person in the vehicle died at the scene.
The road remains closed while a scene examination continues, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
