Two people have died in a car crash in Oamaru.

Police say their car rolled on Ardgowan Road at about 6.30pm this evening.
Both people died at the scene.
Diversions were in place while emergency services attended the scene.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
A scene examination is continuing this evening and enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, police said.
