Norwich threaten life bans for any racism

12:45 pm on 22 October 2013

The English football club Norwich City has threatened a life ban for any fan found guilty of racism after the Premier League side's manager Chris Hughton was the target of online abuse for the second time this month.

Police have launched an investigation after a number of supporters reported an offensive comment on an unofficial Facebook page.

Norwich were beaten 4-1 at Arsenal on Sunday and sit third bottom of the table with only two wins in eight matches.

It follows a similar incident earlier this month in which police said they were investigating a comment left on a social networking forum as a "hate crime".
