Police are hunting for a person after a stabbing attack in south Auckland.
Police said they were called to a commercial address on Mason Avenue in Ōtāhuhu just before 5pm on Thursday.
The New Zealand Herald is reporting the attack occurred at Ōtāhuhu Pool and Leisure Centre.
Police said one person was being taken to hospital in a serious condition with "injuries consistent with stab wounds".
"We are trying to locate a person in connection with this incident, but believe public safety is not at risk."
St John said it was notified of the incident at 4.55pm.
Two ambulances, a rapid response unit and a operations manager responded.
A person was taken to Middlemore Hospital in a serious condition.
