The New Plymouth foreshore is undergoing a transformation as four prefab buildings find a temporary home near the wind wand.
The houses are part of an exhibition that opens this weekend at the Puke Ariki Museum.
Exhibition manager Gerard Beckingsale said the houses bring the concepts in the museum to life.
He said the exhibition is unashamedly crossing the boundaries between tradeshow, show homes and museum ideas.
The houses will be open for viewing over the next four months.
