Fiji in talks with China over ambulances and firetrucks

Fiji's government is in talks with the Chinese government to bring in 200 ambulances and fire trucks.

FBC News reported that Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama revealed this while meeting medical professionals at Korovou Hospital in Tailevu.

He said the Chinese government would be giving Fiji specialised vehicles, but he said he was not sure of their arrival date as it was still being discussed.

FBC News also reported that hospital staff called for upgraded facilities.
