A Maori approach to managing money and debt is being launched on Thursday.
A seven-stop financial literacy tour of the country starts in Whakatane.
They are being run by the Government-funded Maori Women's Development Incorporation - which lends up to $50,000 to wahine who want to start up a business.
More financial literacy hui will be held this month in New Plymouth, Hamilton, Wairoa, Kaikohe, Wellington, and Dunedin.
Each meeting also offers an opportunity for rangatahi to win a $500 university scholarship.
