One person has died following a single-vehicle crash in Northland.
Local iwi have now placed a rāhui on parts of Parua Bay in Whangārei Heads.
Police said the crash occurred just before 10am on Wednesday morning, near Wharf Road.
The rāhui would be in place for three days. It extended from the wharf at Wharf Road to Solomons Point, police said.
"Police thank the public for their compassion and understanding at this difficult time."
