Ferrer to lead Spain's Davis Cup team

The world tennis number five David Ferrer will lead Spain's bid to claim their fourth Davis Cup title in five years when, as holders, they take on the Czech Republic in this month's final in Prague.

Ferrer, who's collected a personal record seven titles this season, will spearhead the Spanish team in the absence of Rafael Nadal who is still sidelined with a knee injury.

Ferrer has just won his first Masters title in Paris and is the back-to-back defending champion and top seed at January's Auckland Classic.
