Convicted multiple rapist Nicholas Reekie is back in court, arguing that the Corrections Department is interfering with his ability to take legal action from prison.
Reekie, who is in prison for the rape of four women and girls, is appearing via videolink from Springhill prison at the High Court in Auckland.
He is already suing the department for being mistreated and abused in prison.
On Friday, he argued that his ability to take legal action is being compromised, as prison officers are not letting him talk to his lawyer in a quiet room or giving him enough paper to write his legal notes.
Lawyers for the department are yet to respond to his claims.
