New Zealand in desperate need of licensing regime for the breeding of pets

Photos of a hairless, wrinkly moggy with stumpy legs are captivating people around the world.

The XL Bully cat is a curiosity - one UK breeder says his affectionate kitties are selling for 4-thousand pounds each.

The breed is a cross between a hairless sphynx, and the short-legged Munchkin - and ,since it's reached super-stardom, the remarkable-looking cat has ignited conversations about responsible breeding.

Emile Donovan is joined by animal law expert and Auckland University associate professor Marcelo Rodriguez Ferrere.
