Business people living with disability have been helped along with a training workshop in Fiji.

37 people took part in the training, in both Buca Bay, Cakaudrove, and Suva, from mid-June until late last week.

The workshops were led by the International Labour Organisation and the Pacific Disability Forum, in conjunction with the Fiji Disabled People's Federation.

The chief executive of the Federation, Setareki Macanawai, says the "Start Your Business" training was an opportunity for business people to be empowered and grow their businesses.

Mereia Siganisucu of Suva said the training empowered her to run a business on her own, after starting out working with her mother.
