Dunne suggests donation tax credits for Christchurch

16:31 pm on 7 March 2011

Revenue Minister Peter Dunne has suggested that people donate their tax credits from donations made in the current year to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.

Mr Dunne says tax credits claimed for donations last year were worth about $154 million.

From April, people can direct their credits to the appeal.

Mr Dunne says it is a simple way of giving without people needing to open their wallets.
