An Auckland company and a Manawatu man have been fined for carrying out unauthorised electrical work.

The work was later found to be unsafe by a registered electrician.

A man from Ashhurst, near Palmerston North, has also been fined $2500 over the installation of solar panels on a New Plymouth property.
