The Northern Marianas casino operator, Imperial Pacific, has taken the full 15-day grace period to pay the outstanding balance of its licence fee.
The CNMI Department of Finance has confirmed the Hong Kong-based company wired $US10.5 million to the government.
The funds represent the remainder of Imperial Pacific's casino licence renewal fee that was due on 12 August.
The company had remitted $US5.5 million of its annual obligation on that date.
If Imperial Pacific hadn't made the payment it would have been in breach of the Casino License Agreement that could have led to its licence being revoked.
Imperial Pacific is in the throes of finishing the construction of a huge hotel and casino complex on Saipan.
