Police have issued a warrant to arrest a woman in relation to a hit-and-run in Napier last week that left another woman in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The victim was in a serious but stable condition in Hawke's Bay Hospital after a car drove into a front yard on Wyatt Avenue in Onekawa about 6pm on Thursday, crushing her against a tree.
The driver fled the scene, but police found the Mazda Astina involved on nearby Dockery Avenue.
They were now looking to arrest Nastashia Edwards in relation to the crash.
"We believe Ms Edwards can help us understand the events that led to the victim receiving life-threatening injuries," Acting Detective Sergeant Dominic Brown said.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to contact Police via 105, referencing the file number 231026/8591.
