Police have named the 56-year-old man found dead at a rural property in Hope, near Nelson, on Wednesday as Simon Allan Bevers.

His family have been advised.
A forensic examination at the Edens Road property, involving police investigators, ESR and other specialists, is ongoing and expected to be completed during the weekend.
Police announced yesterday that a homicide investigation into Bevers' death had been launched.
