Vanuatu's Minister of Foreign Affairs has reappointed former diplomat, Dennis Nai, as Vanuatu's ambassador to China.
Mr Nai, who is a naturalised Chinese citizen, held the role from 2012 to 2013, when the Moana Carcasses-led government removed him over concerns about spending.
His replacement Sela Molisa was recalled last month.
The Daily Post Newspaper says Mr Nai's re-appointment is part of a deal reached between his lawyers and the government, to reduce a claim he lodged asserting he was unfairly dismissed.
