Rod Duke isn't a man given to exaggeration, but is promising that Briscoe Group's annual result this year will be sensational.

Officially, the company's managing director and major shareholder said the annual result would easily exceed last year's $33.6 million net profit.
Mr Duke, who owns 78 percent of Briscoe Group, said gross profit continued to grow faster than sales, even though the company was forced into aggressive promotional activity in the 13 weeks ended late October.
