The wild weather is moving further down the country with Waitomo the second region to declare a state of emergency.

While the clean-up continues, officials have warned to brace for more rain.

A heavy rain warning is in place for Northland while a heavy rain watch is in place for Auckland.

Both locations are also under a severe thunderstorm watch.

Waikato, Waitomo and Mount Taranaki all have heavy rain watches and Manawatu, Tararua, Kapiti-Horowhenua, and Wairarapa are under a severe thunderstom watch.

Here are images of affected areas for Sunday. Images from Saturday can be seen here, and Friday here.
