A woman was killed when a van collided with a truck and trailer on State Highway One in south-eastern Waikato this afternoon.
She was the sole occupant of the van, which was travelling north.
She was freed from the van with the assistance of Fire and Emergency NZ.
The southbound truck driver was uninjured in the crash, which happened near Putāruru.
The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene.
Diversions are in place and motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible.
