Saipan is to receive more than US$4 million in disaster relief following Typhoon Soudelor.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has approved the assistance to help the Northern Marianas island after it was battered by the Soudelor three weeks ago.
It says there have been 7,500 registrations for assistance.
The agency says almost 90 concrete utility poles on CNMI have been installed more than 2000 homes inspected and nine out of ten commercial cellular communication sites are back online with emergency power.
Around 58 wells are currently operable with 4.7 million gallons of potable water being pumped into the system daily.
The international airport and port have both resumed 24/7 operations.
