From today Metlink will roll out an improved Wellington bus service, as the Greater Wellington Regional Council scrambles to fix its troubled new network.
Since the service was changed in July, there has been a wave of complaints, which the Greater Wellington Regional Council is scrambling to fix.
There will be new services and timetables for 12 key routes.
One of the extra services will be the 17e 8.25am which will loop around the Brooklyn hub before heading in to the city.
This to improve services for Brooklyn schools during term time.
Metlink said the changes would help buses arrive on time, improve connections and offer a better service in the evening.
There will also be extra buses on some routes in the city, where in some cases there will be one bus straight after another.
This is partly due to under-sized buses being deployed.
An independent review of the new bus network is underway.
