A woman who has been missing for three days has been found dead after police searched Wairere Falls.
Jude Coxhead, 62, was last seen by family in Tauranga on Saturday, 12 August, and she was reported missing the next day.
Her vehicle was found on Monday at the Wairere Falls carpark, in the Kaimai Range, Waikato.
Land Search and Rescue, the Department of Conservation, Fire and Emergency NZ, the Rapid Relief team and local iwi helped police in the search of the area on Tuesday.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances in relation to her death, which would be referred to the coroner.
They thanked the members of the public who provided information which helped in finding Coxhead.
Police extended their condolences to the family.
