The Christchurch man found guilty of killing his infant daughter has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum non-parole period of 17 years.
Michael John Topp, 37, was found guilty by a High Court jury in May of murdering the three-month-old and two charges of grievous bodily harm.
The infant, who has permanent name suppression, was rushed to hospital with a severe head injury on New Year's Eve 2021, but died two days later.
Justice Anne Hinton sentenced Topp in the High Court at Christchurch on Tuesday morning.
