A person has died in a two vehicle crash in Whenuapai this morning.

Trig Road was closed after Auckland police were called to the crash just before 9am.
The road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit investigates.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
Meanwhile, three people have been injured, one seriously, in a crash involving three motorcycles near Napier.
Emergency services were called to the scene on State Highway 51 near Awatoto late this morning.
The road has been closed between Napier and Awatoto and diversions are place.
