A push to have an additional flag design considered in the forthcoming referendum looks unlikely to succeed.

A design by Aaron Dustin from Wellington, featuring triangles of red, white, black and blue, is proving popular on social media.
A Facebook page has been set up for the Red Peak design and it was also trending on Twitter.
But a spokesperson for the Flag Consideration Panel said it had made the decision on which designs would be part of the referendum, and the four designs had been approved by the Cabinet.
