A staff member at a retirement village in Auckland has been confirmed as having Covid-19 and was at work while infectious.
Public health staff say they are confident the risk of infection at Remuera Gardens is low but, as a precaution, testing is being arranged for all staff and residents.
Authorities say both workers and residents at the village have very high vaccination rates.
Meanwhile, there are new community cases of Covid-19 ahead of the government's alert level decision.
Cabinet is reviewing the alert level three settings for Auckland, Northland and parts of Waikato and Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will make an announcement at 4pm.
