American Samoa is expected to receive $US66.7 million in federal government assistance following Cyclone Gita.
The Department of Treasury's Lulu Barber gave a run down during the Wednesday cabinet meeting, with approximately US$35 million having already been paid out to home owners for damage incurred.
Another $US19 million has been paid through another housing assistance programme.
The amount also includes $US18.6 million for insurance on government properties and the Insurance Commissioner, Peter Fuimaono, said over the next three months they will be submitting documentation to justify the claim with the insurer, Lloyds of London.
