Police are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run incident that happened in Porirua in April.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 8.20pm on 27 April, after a vehicle hit and seriously injured a pedestrian.
The incident took place opposite the Pak'n Save on Parumona Street in Porirua.
The driver failed to stop and left the scene immediately, police said.
The pedestrian spent four weeks in hospital receiving treatment for the injuries they sustained in the crash.
The vehicle involved was described as being dark coloured, with a missing passenger side mirror that was damaged in the crash.
Police asked any witnesses to the crash or anyone with dash camera footage to contact them to assist in the investigation.
