Police will on Monday morning re-enact the drive a missing Central Otago man took seven days earlier when he was last seen, in the hope a witness will come forward.

Wayne Hammond left his Henderson Drive property in Clyde at 7.30am on 1 November.

The 50-year-old's vehicle was found in a car park underneath the Clyde Bridge that day at 3pm, at the start of the Clyde-Alexandra track.

Police have concerns for his welfare and are appealing for people who saw his vehicle last Monday to get in touch.

It is a 1999 white-silver Mitsubishi Challenger four-wheel-drive, with "RockGas" printed on its side.

Officers will take the same drive and then wait with Hammond's vehicle at the car park hoping to speak to anyone with information.

LandSAR teams on Saturday searched the river track and surrounding areas, but found nothing of interest.

Anyone with information can contact police on 105, quoting job number P048471135.
