Rangiora death sparks homicide probe
Canterbury police have launched a homicide investigation after the discovery of a man's body at Rangiora property on Monday night.
Officers were called to Tyler Street at about 7.40pm, where the body was found in a vehicle.
Police initially reported the death as unexplained.
Work was underway to formally identify the man.
Police say cordons are in place at the house and neighbours can expect an ongoing police presence in the area in the coming days.
