All Blacks coach sticks with winning line-up for final

All Blacks coach Graham Henry has named an unchanged starting line-up to face France in the World Cup final on Sunday.

The only change from the side that beat Australia in the semi-final comes on the bench, with loose forward Adam Thomson replacing Victor Vito. Thomson has recovered from an ankle injury.

It is a hugely experienced team, with 708 caps in the starting side, which is again captained by flanker Richie McCaw in his 103rd test.

Commentator Keith Quinn told Morning Report the line-up backs the efficiency and occasional brilliance which saw the team win against Australia last weekend 20-6.

Quinn said the All Blacks are in a good position for the final at Eden Park in Auckland. The match starts at 9pm local time.

French reserves named

Persistence has paid off for Damien Traille after the French utility back was named in Marc Lievremont's squad for the final.

The 32-year-old had all-but given up hope of playing a role after he was dropped following France's 37-17 pool stage loss to the All Blacks.

But his versatility and defensive kicking has seen him called up for the match at Eden Park.

Lievremont waited until Friday to name his reserves bench, three days after confirming the same starting line-up he has used since the quarterfinal win over England.
